Faye Dunaway was born in 1941 as Dorothy Faye Dunaway in Bascom, Florida, where she spent her childhood and teenage years. In 1962 she joined the American National Theater and Academy. That same year she made her first appearance on Broadway as the daughter of Thomas Moore in 'A man for all seasons'.
A few years later she gained the leading female role in 'Bonnie and Clyde', playing opposite Warren Beatty and won herself an Oscar nomination. She also starred in the original version of 'Thomas Crown Affair', sharing the silver screen with the infamous Steve McQueen. The compelling movie 'Network' showcases her phenomenal acting abilities, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. She auditioned for the role of Daisy in Great Gatsby, that eventually went to Mia Farrow.
In 1995 she released her autobiography bearing the name "Looking for Gatsby: My Life". She has known success at an early age (straight out of college) and has built an outstanding filmography. She has been included in Empire's The Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time, a place very well deserved by this iconic blonde. Faye Dunaway's flawless features embody feminine grace and all the glamour of Hollywood. What we love about her is her timeless beauty. Her classic look is teamed with an edginess (sharp, yet seductive expression, bold looks) to make her a complete female inspiration.
