LaDress - La robe parfaite

Extraordinary women are always the inspiration behind LaDress and that's why all the dresses in our collection are named after unique women. I love the American poet and activist Maya Angelou and am looking forward to a new release of her work Love's Exquisite Freedom (2011) that pairs her poetry with the beautiful art of Edward Burne-Jones (a 19th century British artist who focused on the ideals of beauty and was involved in a wide range of decorative arts).

This is a part of a favorite poem of mine. Isn't it inspiring?

Phenomenal Woman

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies

I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size

But when I start to tell them

They think I'm telling lies.

It's in the reach of my arms

The span of my hips,

The curl of my lips.

I'm a woman

Phenomenally.
